Tyrone Willingham was elected to the Board of Trustees of the American Football Coaches Association in 2001 and is currently serving as First Vice President. He was elected to the Board of Directors of The Foundation in 2002. Coach Willingham has served as Head Football Coach at the University of Washington 2004-2008. His previous head coaching positions were at the University of Notre Dame and Stanford University. He earned ACA Regional Coach of the Year honors in 1999 when he led the Stanford Cardinals to an 8-4 record, the Pac-10 title and the school's first Rose Bowl appearance since 1971. Previous coaching positions included the Minnesota Vikings of the NFL; Rice University; North Carolina State University; Michigan State University; University of Central Michigan, and Michigan State University.
Coach Willingham and his wife, Kim, have three children.
