Daniel J. Murphy

As President and Chief Executive Officer, Murphy is responsible for the full strategic  and operating control of Idealease of North America, Inc. Under Murphy’s leadership and guidance Idealease is focused on profitable growth for Idealease Affiliates. Idealease will continue to develop programs and strategic initiatives to grow the presence of Idealease in the North American commercial truck lease and rental markets and improve on its position as the recognized industry leader in OEM related leasing systems.

 Murphy joined Idealease in 1985 managing the company’s operations. In 2001 he was elected Vice President and Chief Financial Officer and Board Member responsible for all Idealease Company operations, supplier programs and relations as well as corporate legal and financial reporting. In 2005, he was promoted to Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.

Murphy is a member of the Board of Directors of Idealease of North America Companies. He is an accredited Certified Purchasing Manager. He is a member of the Board of Directors TRALA (Truck Rental and Leasing Association) and serves on the Executive Committee of TRALA. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Murphy received a finance degree from Loyola University, Chicago and is a graduate from Northwestern University-Kellogg School of Management Executive Development MBA program. He and his wife JoAnn have two sons (Dan 27 and Jim 22) and are active in Saint Viator High School, Kelly Cares Foundation-University of Notre Dame and American Cancer Society.
