Tommy Tuberville completed his third season as the head coach at the University of Cincinnati. He guided the 2015 Bearcats to a 7-6 record and played in the Hawai'i Bowl. Tuberville has a record of 25-13 at Cincinnati and is a 19 year coaching veteran. He has held head coaching positions at Cincinnati, Texas Tech, Auburn and Mississippi.
In 1999, Tuberville became head coach at Auburn and guided the Tigers to 85 wins, which ranks fourth in program history. During his 10 seasons as head coach, he led the Tigers to seven-straight bowl appearances, including New Year’s Day bowl games in four of those years. In 2004, he helped lead Auburn to a 13-0 record and the SEC title. He was named AFCA Coach of the Year following that season.
After taking a year off from coaching, Tuberville landed the Texas Tech head job in 2010, leading the Red Raiders to a 20-17 record and a pair of bowl appearances in his three seasons as head coach.
Tuberville served on the AFCA Board of Trustees from 2005-08 and was renamed to the Board in 2010-2015. In 2016, he was elected to be the Vice President of the Foundation Board of Directors. He and his wife Suzanne have two sons, Thomas Tucker and Troy Allen.
