In 2007, the AFCA Board of Trustees created the Head Coaches Initiative. After looking at the increased number of members in the AFCA and increased expenditure for educational venues by the AFCA, the Board determined that head coaches should know of the need for all of us to give back to the future of our game .
Several of our head coaches have contributed as much as $10,000. However, the most important part is for all collegiate head coaches to take part in the initiative and to make the American Football Coaches Foundation a part of their giving back program.
The amazing growth of the Association is terrific, but has caused new financial burdens due to the low membership fee and the fact that the Association prefers not to charge a fee to attend the AFCA convention.
I am joined by the entire Board of Trustees in urging you to be a part of this initiative.
